Family Angels FAQ
We had two-hundred and fifty families in our holiday Family Angels program in 2012. By purchasing a gift for each member of a family in need, you become a Family Angel and replace their stress with joy this holiday season. Family Angels frequently Asked Questions…
1. Is there a minimum dollar amount we have to spend to participate?
NO, we just ask that everyone in the family you take on receives at least one of the gifts on their list in addition to a holiday food basket or grocery store gift card for the family's holiday meal.
2. Are we able to choose how large/small of a family we take on?
YES, you can choose how many people you are able to purchase gifts for. Families that participate in this project range in size from 2-8 people. We just ask that angel donors provide one gift for each family member as well as a holiday food basket or grocery store gift card.
3. Can we wrap the gifts?
We leave the decision to wrap up to the family; you will find that information on the wish list in the top right corner. If you wrap gift cards and wish a IRS tax receipt, we ask that gift card receipts or photocopies of gift cards be provided to Five Acres staff along with your in-kind donation slip and details.
4. Where do I deliver the gifts?
Gifts may be delivered to Five Acres’ main campus, 760 West Mountain View Street, Altadena, CA 91001.
5. When do the gifts need to be delivered?
Final gift delivery date is determined to allow time for notification and pickup or delivery. Dates will be inlcuded in fliers and posted online usually in late November. Gifts can be brought to Five Acres 7 days a week through the month of December - Weekdays from 8:00am – 8:00pm and weekends from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Please be sure to tell the receptionist receiving the gifts that they are for the Family Angel Program (rather than the toy drive).
