Asst Secretary & Asst Outreach Rep - I am 19 years old and I am currently attending Pasadena City College. I was in the system for about 4 years residing in 1 group home and 2 foster homes. I have had bad experiences during my time in the system but fortunate enough to have some good ones in along the way. The last foster home I was placed at was the one that really pushed me to be where I am at today through the simple concepts of commitment and dedication despite how hard times got. I am now currently working, going to school, and involved in an internship that is hands on and will help me become what I am working to be when I get older- a Sergeant Detective. As a foster child, up until the last foster home before I emancipated, I felt alone because I felt like I was “different” because I wasn’t in a “regular” home or living situation. So as a Teen Trainer I strive to ensure that I give my all for the foster kids that often feel like they have nothing.
