The Five Acres Therapeutic School provides a uniquely calm, nurturing and highly academic environment. Our veteran and well trained team of education specialists has unique expertise working with children who have a variety of behavioral, emotional, psychiatric and educational challenges. Our program offers highly individualized instruction and our course of study is aligned with California Standards in all core academic areas.
The Five Acres Therapeutic School was founded in 1981 as a Non-Public School (NPS) program. We offer highly specialized instruction to students grades K-10 eligible for Special Education Services in the areas of:
Mild Mental Retardation
High-Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders

A built-in swimming pool
A 6000 volume central library
A 9000 volume Reading Renaissance library in our individual classrooms
All classrooms have networked computer stations with filtered internet access for educational study and research.
